*SPOILERS AHEAD*

After waiting two years (or 27 years for the characters in the film), It: Chapter Two hit theaters this past Friday and has already dominated the box office.
After a long dormancy, Pennywise returns, hungrier then ever. After devouring a young man who was thrown off a bridge, Pennywise writes a message in blood for his old friends: "Come Home". Mike, the only member of the Losers' Club who stayed in Derry, sees the message and calls the gang back to their hometown. The film features flashbacks to the group as children, including when they made the blood oath to come back to Derry to defeat Pennywise if It ever returns.
The beginning is shaky, as they don't establish the connection between the actors as children and their grown selves very well. I had to figure it out as I went along. Bill Hader as Richie and Jessica Chastain as Beverly were the only two you could connect immediately. Also, the casting for their characters is SPOT ON. You could NOT have picked anyone better than Hader and Chastain.
Once the film picks up with Pennywise attacks and unsettling nostalgia as they journey back and forth from the past, not even 27 years apart could keep these old friends from getting close again.
While the 2017 It was all scares, Bill Hader seemed to shift the tone of this film to a more comedic horror (if such a thing can exist). Yes, there were jump scares and gruesome scenes, but Richie's wit and sarcastic commentary also had the entire audience laughing during what should have been a "terrifying" scene.
While It: Chapter Two failed to impress as much as the first, I still enjoyed it overall. We got the happy ending where Pennywise is defeated and they all (well, minus the two that died) live happily ever after. I would say it's worth seeing, but don't expect it to be as good as the first. And expect to laugh, because I certainly didn't expect that.
